After I've been playing the game for over two hours, sometime there after the screen goes white and I see my desktop, this is annoying me somewhat. I'm just wondering if this happens to anyone else or is it just me?

I haven't had any problem with crashing or anything like that yet, but supposedly some people have. I doubt you're the only one

Might just be a mechanism to get you off the game after you surpass the recommended play time for one sitting haha

Indeed, it's a memory leak. Creative Assembly have acknowledged that they're working on a fix---they claim it's coming later this week.

Right now the workaround is to either use a very beefy PC, which will delay the leak's draining the pool (so to speak), or to shut down and restart the game when the leak presents itself and becomes self-evident. Or play as a land power and don't use navies, since the leak seems to manifest itself in the naval part of the campaign map portion of the program (notably when selecting ships at anchor in a port.)

I have a very beefy PC and noticed that the campaign map started lagging somewhat, and then I eventually got a CTD.. For whatever reason I noticed I had about 30-40 save files going, so I decided to delete them, and suddenly the campaign map wasn't laggy anymore and I was able to make it further into the game without a CTD. I haven't any idea why there would be a connection, but it's something to check out. Of course, way later on I got more CTD's, but the campaign map wasn't laggy anymore.

Who knows. Hopefully we're getting our fix soon. I'm also counting on some gameplay changes as well, such as the enemy using ships to invade other lands. That's almost a gamebreaking bug in my eyes.

God I hope that fix comes soon, I can't do anything before the game crashes anymore, may have to try restarting my computer for once, it is a beefy machine, but seems to be lacking a little something for this game as is runs rather slow
