More of the opposite sex.
They're evenly distributed. Possibly one more non-straight.
All of them are white, as am I.

Slightly more friends of the same sex (male) than the opposite sex, but it's pretty close. About a 60/40 split.

Almost all my friends are heterosexual, but there are a couple that identify as either gay or bi.

More friends of a different skin tone than me, though no particular group stands out. My group of friends is kind of a melting pot (the fact that I live in Southern California probably has at least a little to do with that).

I have about 10 people I would consider my friends. 5 of them are male and 5 are female, 3 are not straight and one is of a different skin color.

EDIT: Oh we were supposed to discuss Why we have the friends we have?

I think it's mostly common interests, the one that isn't of my skin color was like the first friend I Ever made. I think I was two and she was three years old when we met. Been friends ever since, we're basically like siblings. :)
The other ones... most of them are people I went to school with at one point or another, I play videogames so That's at least one of my friends and I have in common. The others ones are my friends mostly because I like them... *derp*

We veiw the world in similar ways, we have similar thinking patterns, we can discuss ridiculous things one moment and have SRS BSNS talk the next. As for why they are devided like that... -_o_O_/- I donnu lol

I guess sexuality is something you tell your friends about when you fell comfortable enough around them and non-straights are about 10% of the worlds population, so if I have ten friends, at least one of them will be non-straight right? Statistically speaking I mean...

As for the gender of my friends, I guess I've always had a side of me that understands girls better than boys or something... According to my male friends, I'm quite feminin, and most of my girl friends are quite masculine, so I guess we meet in the middle of gender sterotypes. :p I also have a tendency to get stuck in the "friendzone"...

As for skin color, I don't know... I come from sweden and while we take in a lot of immigrants, I just haven't made friends with someone outside my own skin color, if you don't count the girl I met when I was 2. :p

Do you have more friends of the same sex, or of the opposite sex?
Its about even.

Do you have more heterosexual friends, or more non-heterosexual friends?
The problem is I'm married and I don't openly announced that I'm bi-sexual to people who are my friends. Mostly for fear of them being uncomfortable around me. So if any of my friends are gay I wouldn't know for certain. I would say that while its up there, straight friends out number the suspect gay ones.

Do you have more friends with the same skin tone as you, or different skin tone?
I'm sort of all over the place, being someone whose social life was build online I know people of many races.

All of my friends are white heterosexual males, like me. Of course I know girls, but they're acquaintances at the most. I know of about 5 gay people, but they're either intolerably arrogant, or we have nothing in common. I really don't know why I have no none-white friends, they're just isn't many around I guess.

I have friends of both genders. Mostly male since lots of females don't have anything in common with me.

My friends are mostly heterosexual because there are mostly heterosexuals in the world. There's about three gay ones. There's a couple bisexuals if you care about that.

Most of my friends are the same skin tone as me, again that is a majority thing because I'm a native of my country. One of my closest friends was born in Pakistan though.

I have about an even(ish) number of male and female friends, most of them are white and a most would be heterosexual.
Certainly not all though.

First off, let me state that I don't deal with skin colour. As in to say, my mind can't compute it.
*my first thought* Can your mind compute other colours? *is interested*

Joke. I think I get what you mean. ;)

All of my close friends are white heterosexual(as far as I know) males
On first attempt I read that too quickly and my mind connected the "as far as I know" to the word "male". I was about to ask a stupid question.

OT: For reference, I'm a white, mostly-heterosexual female.

Almost all of my friends are male, and most are heterosexual. Skin colour... Not sure, but I'm fairly sure I have more who are the same than not. It's surprisingly difficult to work out without going through my friends one by one in my head!

As to possible reasons why:
I generally get on better with men than I do with women. I also have both a career (software development) and a hobby (fencing) that are majority male. So I meet more men than women that way.

My proportion of gay-to-hetero friends is probably about the same as the national average. No idea on skin colour. Random chance? Places I've lived?

1. Do you have more friends of the same sex, or of the opposite sex?
I more friends of the same sex and my closest friends have been of the opposite sex.

2. Do you have more heterosexual friends, or more non-heterosexual friends?
Only one of my friends believes in binary, black and white sexuality and considers herself "heterosexual". The rest believe sexuality is more fluid and are mostly non-heterosexual. Or not societies version of heterosexual, at least.

3. Do you have more friends with the same skin tone as you, or different skin tone?
Different. But that's due to the fact that I'm half-Asian.

The overwhelming majority of my friends are the same skin tone as me, I would say half/half in terms of gender and sexuality.
These people are my friends because they're good people, and we get along well. Surprisingly I went to an all boys school, and managed to keep a lot of female friends over the years. Though I don't imagine I have these friends because of their gender, skin tone or sexuality. Particularly in terms of sexuality, you often don't know if someone is gay until you are actually their friend - especially in my teenage years.

These answers are directed specifically to my physical friends, ones that I see often and have engaged in real-life events.

Do you have more friends of the same sex, or of the opposite sex?

I believe that it's an even split between both genders. On a side note, I really don't make it a priority to have a certain number of male or female friends. I just makes friends with whoever I wish to hang out with or get to know better.

Do you have more heterosexual friends, or more non-heterosexual friends?

To my knowledge, I have one homosexual friend while the rest of my friends are heterosexual. My gay friend is a really chill person; I honestly didn't know he was gay until one of my other friends pointed it out. He doesn't act flamboyant or like a stereotypical gay man; he's just himself and I've never felt uncomfortable when we all hanged out.

Do you have more friends with the same skin tone as you, or different skin tone?

Well some of us have similar skin tones while others are either lighter or darker.

To answer your questions-
Most of my friends are of the same sex as me.
They are heterosexual.
They have different skin tone compared to me (I'm Chinese while they aren't.)

As for why I have friends like them, well I didn't exactly get to picked my friends, they just became friends with me some time after I met them.
We are friends because we share similar interests or at least some of it and we get along without any arguments/ conflicts.

I have 6 female friends (including my girlfriend) and 9 male friends (I'm counting people I consider close friends, there are loads of people who are friends of friends and random acquaintances). I'm pretty sure at least four of the girls are bisexual (and have had girlfriends, they're not just saying it for attention) and some of the guys are too. I think they all lean more to the straight side though, at the moment I don't know anyone in a homosexual relationship. We're all white, but that's just because we've never really met that many people of other races, and certainly none that have shared our interests.

As for why, it's just that we all get a long really well and share a lot of interests in music and recreational activities. We're kind of the different groups of weirdos from different schools that all somehow met and are still friends.

I'll only count friends I know IRL:

- Same sex, though I'd say its about a 60/40 spread. Not too bad.
- Hetero for sure, though I do have a few gay/bi friends, none of which I have really hung out with since I finished college.
- Same skin tone likely due to where I live.

My friends are actually pretty balanced when it comes to gender, most of them are heterosexual, but for a large number of them, I don't really know their skin tone, as I've never met most of my friends in person.

I have quite a few female friends and a ton of gay mates, I tend to bond with them better for some reason, these are a very varied mix of sexualities and skin tones, but significantly less of the same as me.
Most of my other friends are through work and music, which are mostly same sex and same skin tone.

I'm a straight white guy, I'd say a 50/50 split between guys and girls for friends. All heterosexual, and white.
