By the way, other than my previous statement. If you shall ignore FF6, try FF4 and FF5 HAahahahaha (bad joke).

Oh yeah, try the Secret of Mana series and Breath of Fire 2.

Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrels. Overlooked a lot of the time, but I think it's one of the best RPGs available on a 16-bit console.

Ah... No

Seiken Densetsu 3
Shenanigans.

And what's the Ah no for? Hasked for a good RPG title, I gave him one. You don't need to go trying to start flame wars and whatnot.
Sorry, I was commenting on "/thread" because I felt that Seiken Densetsu 3 was far better, one of the best RPGs I've ever played.

Every Square title, followed by every Enix title.

That should cover it. Maybe look into Fire Emblem if you're interested.

Super Mario RPG definitely, it keeps you entertained alllll the way through. Emphasis on that all. I've played through that game 10+ times ever since I got it when I was a kid.

Most likely why he specified SNES.

Seems most of the good ones are already stated. RPG is a broad term so many games fit under it. For an action RPG game try the Illusion of Gaia series, specifically Terranigma. Has a Zelda-ish feel to it, with a more heavy emphasis on leveling.

I also recommend Tales of Phantasia (not originally released in the US until the GBA port.) Great game with an interesting battle system.

If you're looking for a strategy based RPG then Bahamut Lagoon.

Bahamut Lagoon

Ok, it's more of a strategy/RPG/dragon breeding hybrid, but it's still one of the best games for SNES ever. Also, one of the best looking games for the SNES...
