So after watching Slumdog Millionaire for god knows how many times, my mom commented "that's like the worst thing that anyone can watch on a movie,"

Now my immediate retort was "... What about the Wine bottle to the face?" Now movie lovers/knowers would realize that the scene i just mentioned was Pan's Labyrinth.

My mom and i had a somewhat large argument about the "which is worse" but i still say the wine bottle is worse. Her mentality was that the child is blind and will never see again for the rest of his life. My mentality was that the person told the truth about hunting rabbits and was killed in a somewhat fast method, but would involve agony beyond my wildest dreams.

So what i'm trying to get at... fast but VERY painful death, or blind?

I would like to have this conversation with someone who's argument is "but it's a child"

I agree with you. That scene was harsh man...

But surely the ultimate punishment in a film?

OLDBOY!

Kidnapped and kept in isolation for 16 years then released and set up to fall in love and have sex with his own daughter!!
