Anyway, I'd love for this to be good, but I'm not keeping my hopes up. I cannot for the life of me understand why this isn't animated. Yes, Detective Pikachu looks good, but Pokemon's always been a setting where humans have existed. Humans in STH though is a far more divisive topic.

I am very cautious of this movie, but I would prefer the film to be animated. Worse comes to worse, I can still watch the Sonic OVA.

This is bad. This is just bad. All these live action anime are bad too. Just fucking stop it! Want to make a Sonic movie? Go for it, but KEEP IT ANIMATED! There is LITERALLY NO REASON TO MAKE THINGS LIVE ACTION! Live action adaptations just suck. Only if they already are human can it be ok, but even then it rarely works.

Every single person who lead to this abomination should be fired and banned from any sort of creative endeavor forEVER.

With the exception of Sonic Boom, most Sonic games since atleast Colors has been genuinely good. The plots are still goofy, but the gameplay has reached an amazing balance of 2d and 3d gameplay.

This, and the fact that Sega gets newer fans whenever kids buy or have their parents buy these games. Sega has been doing this since the days of Sonic Heroes, but Unleashed was the most noticeable. Though I disliked Unleashed, because the stupid God of War/DMC segments. They have no place being in a Sonic game. Maybe a Knuckles spin-off, but never Sonic.

Proportions are gross. Both the arms and legs are too toned and meaty for a cartoon character, bordering on uncanny, specially contrasting with the oversized cartoon mascot head. It looks like the... thing... from Sonic Dreams Collection.

To be honest...that doesn't look too bad. Certainly not as bad as the first poster.

I'm not overly fond of Sonic's aesthetic here, but it's not trying to be dark and edgy like the first poster. Here, Sonic's just acting chill, which feels far more in sync with his character.

His head looks somewhat alright as opposed to his weird naked-looking body. I mean, his head looks cartoony anyway, why not make the rest of him look cartoony too? Now he just looks like some naked furry just wearing his sneakers. Either give him an equally cartoony physique, or put some pants on the damn thing.

Yeah, the head is kind of ok. As is the general pose he's in. I don't love it, but it's more recognizable as 'Sonic'. The body's still weird. Like they slapped a cartoon head onto a little dude wearing a fursuit.
