Hi all, i'm looking for abit of advice about Steam and Deus Ex: HR.

I only today discovered Steam and was wondering (i'm assuming it's trusted) if you guys thought it was worth using Steam to buy Deus Ex? Im still unfamiliar with how Steam works but does it change the game by implementing some kind of social networking feature?

My computer is pretty old and fragile but a system check shows that it should be able to run the game fairly well with abit of TLC. But of my three options, 1) getting the game through steam, 2) getting the for PC on disc or 3) getting the game for Xbox, which would you guys say it is best?

Oh, and if you buy a game on steam, can you download it on multiple computers?

Thanks in advance,

xox

Edit: I've just seen there is a forum for advice -.- my bad.

Deus Ex forces you to use Steam even if you buy it retail. It doesn't change the game itself and it isn't a social network. However you can add friends and IM them though Steam. You can do it while the game is running and also have access to a web browser without alt tabing. And yes you can download it on multiple computers

I would suggest getting a physical copy, not that it brings any benefits but I just consider it´s one of those games(like skyrim) that you NEED to have a physical copy off.
Oh and most of steam prices on new AAA games are pretty high and most of the time you can find cheaper exs in stores. However the sales: <3 <3 <3

Often buying things on steam doesnt effect the game at all with the possible exception of not needing a CD/DVD in drive to play it, as for all the social crap that comes along with steam it can be easily disabled or atleast changed so it doesnt prompt you in game with achievement updates or messages from other users.
