A Strange Problem

Ok, I had this strange little problem recently. When I am browsing web sites, there are sometimes random words highlighted when they shouldn't be. When I hover a mouse over it, I see a pop up ad of some kind. Anyone else have this same problem?

Does it happen with every website or just some?

If you go back to one where it happened once, does it happen again?

Some websites use that as a standard advertising method, like pop-ups or banners. But if it's happening with every single site you visit, then yeah, you have a problem.

It's extremely annoying due to me being a PubClub member. I guess I can't escape all the ads.

Sounds like an extension or malware. Run a scan of your computer using an anti malware or anti spyware program. Also trying going into your settings on your browser and look over the extensions or add ons that are there. If you see any that you didn't put there look them up to make sure they aren't the ones causing the problem. I had this happen to me a couple months ago and it was an extension that was causing the problem.

Just funny that it happens to be thw word "pop up" in your text that is highlighted to me xD
But yeah, just advertisement

I had the same problem a while ago. As said before, some site use this for advertisements, but if it's happening to all the sites you visit, check your extensions and/or plug-ins fo the browser you're running. You may find things that you never installed.
