I am experiencing a strange twitch or spasm or something where my left thumb moves towards my hand about a centimetre. I had this about a month ago, then it went. I was wondering if there is anything to do to stop it because it is hampering my typing abilities.

Thanks.

Yeah. You're pregnant.

Seriously, if it bothers you, see a doctor. You know, those people who are qualified and not us.

I don't think it is serious enough to see a doctor. Just an annoyance.

I find that if I'm exhausted I'll experience minor muscle twitches. Happens quite often.

Have you a) not had enough sleep recently or b)been drinking energy drinks? Cos stuff like that can make a difference.

Sounds like you've turned into Tom Hanks in Saving Private Ryan.
My cure is finding a man who's probably dead in 1940's Normandy.

I've had a decent amount of sleep, could have more and I have a Lucozade (fizzy Gatorade type thing if you're American)everyday during school. Probably why then.

I've got a weird twitch in both my little toes... It's quite annoying, but I leave it be.
Also... if it's impeding your typing abilities... are you really using it for anything other than the spacebar? In which case... what ARE you using it for? :S

Some crazy left handed Dvorák setup, maybe? He could always switch to right handed Dvorák.

My little toes both move sideways instead of up and down.

Try popping the joints in your hand. Either that or pull your thumb/fingers until they crack, it could be that the nerves are caught slightly between the bones. Make sure that you've got good circulation to your hands too.

I press spacebar with my chin. It makes me happy. :)
