I honestly havent encountered it THAT much. Sure, I have come across the noisy, whiney type here and there, but in all honesty, I havent seen it that much. Maybe I'm just lucky? :)

I've always hated playing with them not only are they loud an obnoxious which can be dealt with by muting they also tend not to understand teamwork is required to win objective based games. There not as much of an issue on psn since most people don't have mics.

You know, if you put supposed in quotations then you're implying it really is a problem.

I'm just sayin'.

And I prefer playing with people who can take that it's a game.

I dunno about you guys, but I love it.
Seriously, if there's one thing more hilarious than blowing someone away online, it's knowing that they're on the other end of a controller screaming in indignation after telling you how much better than you they were.

When you're in the mood, whiny teens are just what you need online. Surely I'm not alone folks?
OMG! It's like we share the same spectacular mind! Thanks for starting this thread! Everything you say is so true xD

This whole report is totally overblown and often used by PS3 fanboys as a counter-measure to the claim that no one plays PS3 online, which is also a grossly exaggerated statement. XBox Live is nowhere near as bad as people say it is, and PSN is nowhere near as barren as people say it is.

Well sometimes it's funny to kill them and then they get all super angry. But then they will eventually kill you and you will never hear the end of it.

And that is the only thing that straight up pisses me off.

When people brag (online with a mic or in the same room on the same console) after every kill ("WHOA DID YOU SEE THAT?", "DUDE I PWND YOU", etc) I rage.
I don't rage, but it does annoy me. You can get 20 kills on those little wankers and they'll get one kill, normally from a random grenade throw across the map or by camping and then they'll scream out how good they are.

It's like "No, STFU with your terrible gameplay and go sit in that corner and cry tears of terrible playing because you're so terrible".

Games should really make is so when someone is killed they they get muted till respawn. How nice would it be to shut up a whiney tween with a head shot?
You know, that's a pretty good idea... Quick! Someone tell the devs!

They have invented mute and party chat and I use those pretty often. Sometimes I just start laughing and showing off because well...I'm better than most of them(suprise suprise).

Why do you even bother listening to them. I insta-mute everyone I meet, and thats only when Im not in a party chat with my friends.

I tend to run into just as many whiny, shrill, bitchy 20-somethings as teenagers. I actually tend to cut the teens more slack. I've been playing M-rated games online for almost a 9 years now (since I was 14), and I remember that people used to be a lot more tolerant of me being younger and actually trying to help me out. Yeah, I was immature at times, and yeah, I got called out for it, but no one ever looked down on me and yelled at me for being young. Then again, I was usually pretty laid back. I usually only bragged or started talking trash when someone else started it or I knew I could back it up.

Huh. Sudden nostalgia craving for SOCOM.

Hahaha no.

The only time I ever use my headset is when I'm with a party of my friends.

Otherwise everyone in the match is muted faster than a speeding bullet.

Me and my friend like to act extremely homosexual over xbox live. Not actually gay, but just form their voice you can feel them fidget in their seat over something so inane. Hilarity insured when you say over the mic "Hey man can you stop rubbing your nipples at me for a second I'm trying to play here."
Remind me to try that out one day.

On topic: I rarely ever get that problem, but that's mostly because I hardly use my PS3 online and I only get the occasional 'Aw, fuck' when playing on TF2 on the PC. Which granted I haven't played on in a while. Apparently it's gotten worse for pre-teen entitled fuckwads.
Yay for single player RPGs -strokes Elder Scrolls-

I'd really rather bellicose children not have Live- They should be playing outside or doing something productive. It seems like kids can only either be in some sort of extracurricular activity or running amok on the internet these days.
What ever happened to imagination? Just playing for the sake of playing? I bet you take any of the kids that's screaming on XBL and toss 'em in a room full of legos and action figures, and they'd figure out how to have fun.

Being amused by them only would promote their aggressive online interaction, I imagine.

Hell, this reminds me that just a few days ago my cousin got some guys on Xbox Live to sing Lady Gaga. Fucking priceless.
