Hello,I'm thinking about upgrading my computer and I wanted some insight.I'm mostly concerened about my mobo and if it can handle the upgrades that I'm looking into.

I have a Asus M4A785TD-V EVO,http://usa.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=fcsXWSxnhzZE9rnR

I would like to get an AMD Phenom II X6 Black edition 3.2 ghz
I have 4gb of G skill RAM and would like to get 4 more
I also want to get a second GTX 470.

From what I understand these upgrades are possible but I would like a more educated perspective, thank you.

That mobo only has 4 memory slots so I find getting RAM a bit difficult...

For the CPU I'm not sure. I only know some outdated info on AMD. I really recommend Intel, you can afford it. Much better.

Problem at video card as in note: 2 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (blue @ x16 mode, gray @ x4 mode). Means that the second one will be slow.

Thanks mate for the feedback I appreciate it.Just setup an account at tom's hardware for more input. Not getting a lot of feedback here.

Good luck with that. Hope you get more info there and decide on some good hardware.

Firstly, that motherboard only supports Crossfire (ATI), not SLI, so no extra 470.

Even if you did crossfire something, the second card would be running in x4 mode, a performance crippler, barely making the upgrade worth it.

Unless you're doing CAD/CAM and Photoshop, there is no for a hex core processor, quad core will be just fine for gaming for a good time to come. You want more CPU performance? Get an after market HSF and over clock.

Simply sell your existing 4GB of ram and get a 2 x 4GB set of sticks, giving you 8GB overall and retaining dual channel memory performance.
