The one thing that has been consistently good about this situation is the stance that Tito and Archon have taken. They facilitated a discussion, one they found distasteful, where all other major publications (and most smaller) tried to censor and bury it. Regardless of what "side" you're on, it's hard to see this as anything but admirable.

Can't check right now, but even if he's anti-gate, he's allowed us to talk about it and actively staved off attempts by his peers to get him to capitulate...Velventian said:

Agreed, it could very well be that he disagrees and thats perfectly within his right. Sure i would like it more if he agreed with us but like you said theoretically it doesn´t matter.Corey Schaff said:

Maybe part of it was clicks, we don't know. What we do know is what he said on those e-mails and he said that there is no reason to close the thread, it has been civil and he doesn't believe progress can be made by stifling discussion. Just as I take Kuchera on his word of being the kind of... ahem... person he is, I'd do the same for Tito. I think the change to their ethics policy speaks for itself. He is with us in the only important way it count...
