I just wanted to thank the community and the staff for making The Escapist what it is.

Most of my friends play video games, but only one is a game enthusiast. His work schedule does not fit with mine so I didn't get to talk about games as much as I would like, given that we only hang out one day a week, if that.

So I simply wanted to show my appreciation of this site and its community.

Here we all love games.

Here we find others who live a large portion of our lives in other worlds.

Here we find others who share our experiences.

Here we find others who share what our experiences could have been.

Here we can converse about all aspects of games.

Here we respect games and see them as what they are, what they have been, what they will be, and most importantly what they can be.

Here we all love games.



My hope is to keep this thread active as long as possible. If nothing else post a Thank You to let every member of both community and staff know that this congregation of game enthusiasts is something special. The Escapist has been and is more than just a review and preview site, it is a community.

It is the convergence of people from vastly different walks of life who all share, a common passion.
That passion is for what is commonly known as video games, but while there are still many video games around, that passion for many has evolved into a passion for other worlds. Other worlds that break the laws we unknowingly abide by.

Give me a world to live in, a land to explore, and a quest to lead me.

Well this is the last oasis on the internet, and the mods are good enough to keep most of the annoying people out so the escapist was always the best site on the internet for me.

Also pro-tip the pub club was worth every single penny so if you would like to spend a lot of time on this site than it is a very good investment to make. Also the escapist experience doubled for me once I started posting in the forum games so if your up to it give that a try ^-^
