Microsoft payed for the exclusivity. That's always how it is with them.
it's business i suppose but they're already rich i just kinda annoys me when they do this they did to cod too so my friends couldn't play zombies (only good game mode besides campaign) at the same time as me

Microsoft seem to have this weird attitude. They behave like little toddlers who want to say "mine" with everything they touch, whether that is actually advantageous or not to them in any way. They seem to think owning everything and keeping it to themselves is just better by default. I'm not an anti-Microsoft person or a Sony fanboy in any way (I own a 360 and not a PS3), but that's just the attitude they seem to display. Especially with their hardware and digital games/downloads.

Captcha: "love is automatic" Seems fitting with the whole topic of fanboyism.

Ya MS is quick to give out incentives / buy off studios because they know this gives them a good image with the fanbase, which in turn makes for good sales.
Not sure if it's the case with Minecraft but I imagine they didn't overlook this indie game gone mad on sales.

the only reason i'm playing the console version is because my PC is garbage from 2006 and on top of that they screw over anyone not willing to dance to Microsoft's tune well i think it's nigh on dictatorship

they think its a good investment and i have to agree, I pay £40 a year for xbox live and a lot of that is because of game exclusivity (a good 2 years of it was almost purely to play halo 3) and one reason im getting a new PC is so it can run the games/mods that I want it to

Its good business. They saw how popular the game was becoming and jumped on it.

Its not cool that PS3 players miss out, but they are the competition. Anything goes :p

And it seems to have paid off. Its broke the record for xbla day-one sales.
