I wanted to join the RAF until i was 11.Then i realised the hot, burny death that was common with the job.

Then until about 3 months ago i wanted to be an actor. Then i became more pesimisitc and realised that the chances of me making it are microscopic.

Now i want to work in journalism or be a writer.

Well, I used to work in the horse industry until last year. It was always my goal to make it to the World Cup in showjumping. Then one of my boss's horses collapsed while I was riding, I got my knee pinned underneath him, and I won't be riding professionally anymore. I was super depressed for a few months after the accident, and left wondering what the hell I was supposed to do now. I started looking at going back to college to finish my degree, and I was supposed to start at Boston University this semester...until the costs skyrocketed and they dropped me from financial aid. So now I'm back almost to square one, working part-time and trying to go to a local school for at least the first 2 years to save money. I have a tentative idea of what I want to do when I graduate, though: federal law enforcement. I'm thinking FBI, but I'd be open to a few other branches, too. Definitely need that degree, though.

I'm no technical whiz, and I certainly would make a terrible engineer.

When I was younger I always wished to be an actor. Now I realise I hate people (I assume that you require a certain degree of sociability in order to remain liked by people - take Tom Cruise's downfall for instance), and acting, for the vast majority of people, turns out to become a dead-end profession.

I know any job I am particularly suited to (that isn't to say I will get a job like it, but it is what I would be best at) would involve writing, speaking, verbally putting-down my enemies etc.

Also, this isn't related, but in a nearby city to mine the garbage men are on strike!
The same thing is happening to my city, Leeds (UK). The council thought the best plan of action for equal gender pay was to lower the mens' rather than just increase the womens'. I swear they just spend all their bloody money on the massive fireworks display in November, which I don't even like anymore.

I wanted to be a spaceman, but then I calculated the odds of meeting aliens and realized it wouldn't be worth it.

~snip~
Was that a Harry Nilson reference?

I wanted to be a spaceman,
That's what I wanted to be,
But now that I am a spaceman,
Nobody cares about me.

..that just popped into mah head, sorry.

OT: I used to wanna be a mechanic, but now I wish to become a concept artist.

Eff yeah.

Thanks man.

Also, this isn't related, but in a nearby city to mine the garbage men are on strike! Driving examiners, postal workers, garbage men...what's going on with these people?
Christ knows, but they'd better sort themselves out soon, I'm waiting for my new bank card! lol :(
