Man, does anyone else think this would be incredible? Think of all the characters to draw from, especially the Gung-Ho Gang, and how different they all fight, different styles and weapons, etc. I know the series is old, but this could make for some great gameplay, anyone else agree, or have ideas on how they would like it done?

It would have great potential, maybe as a sandbox game, where you would have this colony planet and environments that would make it possible to live to the name "stampede".

That being said, I don't think it has directly any clear potential, it would take a good developing team, and not just people who'd make a quick cash-in.

Am I the only one thinking it would "kind of be like" a Mass Effect game?

Vash is silly, don't get that wrong. But he can be pretty serious and dark at moments... I kind of want to be able to blow a place to the ground and have people go "Darn you Stampede!"

It probably would have a moral system.

Well Vash tries not to kill people, so a morla system is a must if you play as him.

Mabye a co-op game where you play as Milly and Meryl (as Vash is preety over powered)

Heck mabye co-op set up with Wolfwood and Vash.

Too hell with it 4 player co-op with all four of them

I would say no squarely on the fact that it would be a licened game, and therefor would have a 95% change of sucking horribly.

Also, it would be a shooting game where you can't kill anyone due to Vash's ideals. I don't think people would go for that.

Just like any concept for a game... If done well enough, why not?
As a long-time fan, I'd buy it. :D

I suppose that could be just as fun.. Could always just shove a char into a game story based off Trigun I suppose though. Would allow you to make your own character... Like Fallout 3. Its clearly not simply based around the universe with the character shoved in though. Just simply using it as a slight example.

Hm... Could be Kingdom Heart as another example. Sora is pretty much just shoved into a weird FF / Disney story.

A shooter in which you have to eliminated targets without hitting them.
90% chance of terrible.
10% of awesomeness if done right.

That could work as Triguns has some nice back story and what not.

But this principle can be applied to any anime e.g. CowBoy Bebop has huge scope for exploring other parts of the world with a new user made character.

If they do decide to make a trigun game it needs to be imagitvie and not just play out the events of the sereis as same average shooter

e.g. like how I suggested a battlefront esq game of hellsing

Trigun would need to take a newish or at least unexpected turn with how they make a game out of it.

A tri-gun game...

No. It's too story heavy, a game would cut out too much of what is necessary.

Maybe like a sanbox 3rd person shooter, with elements like the RDR system of slowing time down so you can shoot your enemy without killing him. Maybe have a moral system where if you are hated enough, or fail or whatever your "plant arm" gauge will fill up and make you destroy entire towns. The more Vash kills, the more his hair turns black and he gives up towns to go back to, along with other npc's he might have good deals with, unless he gives up enough of his lifebar to stop the destruction from happening.

I wouldn't make it a true sandbox, as the desert wastes are kind of empty, but maybe have that huge train thing they have to take you where you want to go.

I wouldn't mind seeing one if it was done well, but I wouldn't trust most developers with the task.

It sounds like RDR but with Stranglehold gameplay. Not necessarily bad, I'd give it a go. I could imagine some sought of point system where you get skill progression or different more potent skills for non lethal takedowns.

I feel like this could be an amazing sandbox game, or a Borderlands-esq rpg. Cell shading is a must. :)

This would be amazing if done right. I think it would have to have a moral choice and reward you for not killing people. I for one think it would be interesting to see what would happen if he capped his brother or something. But, I would like the game to continue along the main story (but be able to change it if you saw fit).

I would love to see this, though I know that that's something rather difficult to do. Maybe if you weren't Vash, but some guy who wants to capture him and gets stuck along for whatever lunacy he's gotten himself into this week. That would work.

There's a paradox that Vash is the only character I would want to play as, and yet people here have brought up good issues with playing as him. They could do something interesting with his whole no-killing rule, but then you might inevitably take away a lot of player freedom and enforce a certain personality.
