Hi guys, just thought it would be fun to kick off a nostalgia thread y'know just talking about stuff we loved in our childhood, might cheer things up a little around here.
so last week I went to my local CEX and found "The Road to El Dorado" on DVD (I later checked and was disappointed to see that there is no blu ray version at least that I can find) needless to say I immediately bought it, I love that movie, I mean come on, a beautiful-looking genuinely funny movie with the music team from "The Lion King" that Dreamworks DIDN'T shake down for progressively worse sequels? how can you complain? I later found out my sister hadn't seen it, but wanted to because she's on Tumblr, and apparently it's frequently referenced there, so we sat down and watched it, she loved it too, and then it hit me that this along with several other traditionally animated Dreamworks movies never get re-released and end up pretty much forgotten about, that makes me sad.
also last Saturday I started a Lovefilm free trial and found season one of "Jackie Chan Adventures" which I also loved as a kid, who remembers that? with the talismans and the crazy wizard uncle?
so yeah, anyone else remember these things? what do you guys get nostalgic about? I'm hoping to find at least one "Class of the Titans" fan here, seriously it seems like nobody but me watched that show
