Me too. I was under the impression that maybe they get handed out a little early as you approach or something. For a brief moment, I thought of going on the most insane tinfoil-hat tirade that would offend the sensibilities of of ~90% of the planet, so that I could have the badge, under 1,000 posts, with mod wrath. Then I thought better of it. Or the medicine kicked in.

I got it too...except it's not actually on my list of badges. I can't help but notice that, for some of you, the same thing has occurred - it's not there. But for others, it still is.

I just received the Morpheus badge (awarded for over 1000 posts without mod-wrath). But, as you can tell by looking to the right, I'm nowhere near 1000 posts - though I've now put it in my 5 badge thing, just to piss people who want to get it off

So is this just an escapist glitch, has it happened to anyone else, or did I get it, not for being a prolific poster, but for being a good one?

I don't really have a favourite badge, but I do like the one that makes the page spin.

Heh, I found it kinda funny when his cheerful little face popped up in my inbox. Nowhere near the required 1000, and yet there he is. I think I'll enjoy this little glitch while it lasts, 'cause somehow I don't think we'll get to keep the badge when it's all fixed...

I like my Long-Time Listener, First-Time Caller badge.

It seems the Letters to the Editor editorial is no longer being published, not since mid-2011. There's only 308 total with about 4-5 people per letter so I'm one of about 1500 or so who's got the thing. Not nearly as rare as some of the others but I think it's still pretty cool.
