Worms Armageddon is a turn-based artillery game released in 1999 for the pc, not to be confused with Worms 2: Armageddon, the turn based artillery game released in 2009 for the XBLA. The object of the game is obvious: kill the enemy player's worms before he kills yours. For such an old game, it is still maintained by the developers, and I've also see a lot of people speak fondly of it. Because of this I think it would be a fun idea to have a tournament.
If you'd like to enter, just say so in this thread, I don't think you will need to provide any other information, but it would help if you also posted the time zone you live in to make organising games easier. The deadline for entrants is 2nd of July, subject to change.
How will this tournament work?
What I was thinking of is a simple elimination tournament, maybe with some 4-player matches if enough people enter, I'm also currently deciding whether to draw the matches for each round, or to just have one draw at the start of the tournament. In the case of game modes, I think the intermediate scheme should be used, since everyone knows that scheme. In the case of maps, I think we should just use random maps, unless both players agree on a map to play. I may or may not enter myself, depending on the number of entrants (don't worry, I'm not very good).Of course, none of these decisions are set in stone, so if you have any better ideas, pet them in your post.
