I should be researching the rules of comedy and the history of the masked ball in order to write an essay on 'Much Ado about Nothing' for GCSE, though!
I did it last year, but you're not accounting for the different syllabi and my (AQA) syllabus is now outdated and has been replaced by a new one with different coursework. You should really be asking people in your class because the odds of someone here doing the exact same course are minor.
In that case your first point of call should be here http://www.langlita2.bethkemp.co.uk/ling_frameworks.html
Some general advice: Cover each section on that page for loads of reviews on a single game.
Comb for certain types of words and count their prevalence in each review before commenting on how they effect the tone of the review.
Note any use of pictures, differences in fonts and once again comment on how they affect the review.
The key words my teacher kept throwing at use were, "Linguistic frameworks" research and learn them and you should be able to apply it anywhere, making this course a cinch.
Play it, watch various reviews of it on the internet and then very carefully compile a detailed review of it, giving your honest opinion, bear in mind the structure of it and the way you lead up to the end.
If im honest your topic sounds quite difficult as there may not be much information to comment on that makes a gaming review unique from any other review, i completed my A2 course last year on the old syllabus but from what i gathered, the harder the topic you chose the more you generally have to write about. Best of luck
