I apologise if this is old news but I am pretty gutted (if not surprised) to recently find out that Persona 4 Arena has been delayed in Europe. Now really I wouldnt make a topic about this but to say I have been looking forward to this game since its announcement last year is an understatement as I love fighting games and Persona 4 is probably my 3rd favourite RPG of all time. When I heard it would be region locked I didnt care as it just meant I would have to wait about a month longer no problem right?
Now of course it is a problem as Zen united seem to have ballsed up the release for us in the EU (and probably AUS) again. They did this with continuum shift where we had to wait months later than everybody else and even longer in the case of calamity trigger, so its not unexpected but I really thought they might pull their finger out on this because it is undoubtedly the highest profile title they have ever dealt with and it would be wise to capitalise on the hype still surrounding it, but no.
I realise I dont have all the facts but thats because as far as I know they havent given us any reason why it is delayed which is itself very worrying, now I wouldnt be surprised if those of us in Europe dont see it until 2013 sometime (and then they will probably complain of low sales). Usually I would import when hearing of a potentially huge delay like this but ofc that is not really an option here, you would think that they may be able to avoid a repeat of prievious mistakes especially when it happens nearly every time they release a game.
So Escapists has anything like this ever happened to you? there you are eagerly awaiting a game for 12 months finally its released in other territories and everything seems good and then you get to within a few days of release and bam a message is put up saying this game will be delayed to a future as yet undisclosed date.
Anyway suffice to say I am a bit pissed off no doubt when it does arrive they will put a postcard in the game case or some shit as a way of making amends because we all love postcards right that makes it all worthwhile.
