So I got Fable III, and when it installed it went on about me needing Games for Windows Live. Okay. So I got an account, and before it even started downloading the account, it popped up to ask me for an update. Okay. The updating bar comes up for one second before an error message telling me I can't install the update blares in my face.
Me being the obsessive Fable fanboy that I am need help with this so I can actually play the bloody game, anyone got fixes for this?

Ahh Fable...the easiest game known to man. It was my third playthrough before i actually died and only because i was paying no attention...

I died on my first run, mainly because I fell asleep when playing through the Arena.

OT: If you REALLY want to play Fable 3, try completely uninstalling GFWL and redownloading it. Might fix the problem.

Honestly, Fable 1 wasn't that much harder. I remember stacking every single point in Mana Shield and Force Lightning (Yes, that's what I'm calling it, because it's pretty much what it was) and then being invincible as long as I had mana-potions, which were dime a dozen.

And to give further offense, Fable 1 was atrociously short. I played through it twice (one time "good", one time "bad") and it took me less than 16 hours. And I spent several of those grinding unnecessary skills.

I mean, it's been getting worse, but I say that 3 still passes "decent game" qualifications.

All of the Fable games are ridiculously easy...but not all of them are fun.

On Topic: Couldn't "help" you, really. Not sure if I'd really want to, either, considering the game in question. Sorry.

I didn't find Fable 3 to be too much different from Fable 2. So if you liked 2, I don't see why you wouldn't like 3.

You notice I didn't say anything about "fun" or "good"...

Anyway, yeah, I'd need an error code... or the exact wording of the error message to help you out.

mm, hopefully this might help you out, if you choose new profile, there is a blue bit of text in a wall of text that you get next, it's an option to create an offline profile. unless you are into achievements, they wont be registered i think.

Edit, i liked fable III, but not enough to play it again like i did with fable: the lost chapters. (never got to play II) didnt like the industrial theme i guess :/
