I've been wanting to Space Quest for quite some time now. Since the game is over 20 years old, I could only guess that he game is considered abandonware. Then only problem is that I don't know if it is. Especially considering that there is a collection for the game available now and I hate to be one of the few unlucky people to be arrested for something a surprising amount of people are doing nowadays.

So What are the specific requirements of a game being considered abandonware (if any). If anyone knows a place where I could check this I'd be grateful. Or better yet, know a place where I could get the Space Quest collection for a good price.

They have Space Quest on there. Abandonia is usually pretty careful about this and they'll take games off the site if anyone objects to their existence on there. If no company objects and all support has been dropped for the game, then they will let you download it.

Google hasn't been my friend since it stopped inviting me to it's birthday parties.

abandonware is a grey area, there's still copyright BUT there's no money to be made. some companies allow you to dl it some don't
