So I was wandering around the internets and I found this article on Cracked.com about movie fans. It got me wondering. Which of these categories (if any) do you think movie Bob falls into.

Why don't you ask him?

He isn't some omnipotent being outside of communicating with mere mortals.

Go nuts.

I don't know about him, but apparently I'm an "Indie-ana Douche" crossed with a "Foreign Film Purist".

None of them, for myself at least. What's the one who only likes stylized movies such as Quentin Tarentino's work, heavy legal/political dramas, and comedies?

And still hasn't seen The fucking Dark Knight.

Hmmm...a mix between the film student and the de-constructionist.
And a bit of a self aware one. But it seems most film critics are like that.
And how is the Hell Dark Knight a defense of the Bush administration?

I'm a Prophet.

I'm pretty sure that Moviebob has some purist thing in him. He always complains when his favorite comic book doesn't turn into a good movie.

I'm pretty sure that James Rolfe is an old-timer though. He hates CGI.

However everyone hates it when their favorite story gets fucked with. That is why I hated Beowulf.

No idea on the Bush=The Dark Knight thing. To be honest it's the first time I hear it. I thought they were just kidding but the Aliens one is actually a vietnam look back.

So I guess if any one knows why and how, please do explain.

I think he's a little bit of everything.

I'm stumped on the Dark Knight/Bush thing, too. Maybe they just came up with that for the sake of the chart.

I think Movie Bob is his own category. He knows what is good film and what is shit.

I will say Movie Bob knows his fair share of trvia, so I guess the last category Trivia-Night champ might apply to him.

Thankfully, Movie Bob knows what is fun to watch. If the story is something that's been done before, he'll tell you, but he'll also tell you if the retold story is worth watching.

I love Movie Bob, he's the SHIT.

Thing about deconstruction is you can make it about anything. My friend took a deconstructionist approach to Othello and Likened it to a porn. That was fun...

I doubt it is actually a defense of the Bush administration but it could be construed as such. Think about it. A dangerous terrorist is on the loose and to catch him the hero of the story has to use what we would consider unconstitutional surveillance to find his hideout. Once again I doubt Nolan actually wanted to defend the Bush administration but he may have done it on accident.
