However everyone hates it when their favorite story gets fucked with. That is why I hated Beowulf.Random Argument Man said:I'm a Prophet.
I'm pretty sure that Moviebob has some purist thing in him. He always complains when his favorite comic book doesn't turn into a good movie.
I'm pretty sure that James Rolfe is an old-timer though. He hates CGI.
No idea on the Bush=The Dark Knight thing. To be honest it's the first time I hear it. I thought they were just kidding but the Aliens one is actually a vietnam look back.Ken_J said:And a bit of a self aware one. And how is the Hell Dark Knight a defense of the Bush administration?
Thing about deconstruction is you can make it about anything. My friend took a deconstructionist approach to Othello and Likened it to a porn. That was fun...D-Mic said:I'm stumped on the Dark Knight/Bush thing, too. Maybe they just came up with that for the sake of the chart.
I doubt it is actually a defense of the Bush administration but it could be construed as such. Think about it. A dangerous terrorist is on the loose and to catch him the hero of the story has to use what we would consider unconstitutional surveillance to find his hideout. Once again I doubt Nolan actually wanted to defend the Bush administration but he may have done it on accident.Ken_J said:And a bit of a self aware one.
