In memory of my confusion from playing the first game, I always name Link, Zelda.

Back when shaman were Horde exclusive, I had an orc shaman named VanHelscream on an RPPvP server. I ganked gnomes and only gnomes.

I also had an undead warrior named Brains. I walked him naked to Goldshire Abbey at level one and made a macro /y BRAINS in gutterspeak. Plus two more for /bite and /scratch

I also like to use either Snowden or ----deCoverly when possible. In games like Persona 4 with two names, I name my character Washington Irving.

I have Pokemon Fire Red on an emulator on my Ipod. I'm naming all my pokemon offensive names, such as Gonorrhea or Blue Waffle

I made Shepard's first name Shepard because it is easier to believe that his parents were twats than to accept his lover referring to him by his last name right before sex.

I liked to name my MMO characters "Thatguy(numbers)", "Guess(numbers)", "whatshisname(numbers)", "Who(#s)", etc. (people usually left out the numbers added on the end) Yes, it's based on this, which was based on a bit by Abbot and Costello.
Hell, not like parties were assembled quickly anyway.

Trying to come up with a more ridiculous name than my previous capture was my greatest challenge in any pokemon game. I stopped playing when I realized it was the only one that interested me.

There was one funny moment in Morrowind when I was eventually caught by the not-yet-psychic police force, "You broke the law, Dumbass!"

In Animal Crossing, (one of them, anyway) a townsperson would occasionaly ask the player for a catch phrase to be used after every sentence. Being that I was trying to assert a facist military state on the critter population involving daily net-beatings and holes dug around houses, I went with Master. "Good morning, Master!" "Look at the cherry blossoms, Master!"

In Twilight Princss, I once went with "..." so it looked like everyone was zoning out all the time, made even more hilarious when a character shouted my name in a dramatic moment.

There was one RPG in which your character was always referred to as "Master ______". So, one person named him Bate.

In Assassin's Creed 2, I named my profile an anagram of Desmond.

That reminds me, there used to be a jedi named Baytes.

Anyways, I recall being an immature teen when playing Pokemon gold and silver. Naturally, I named my rival things like Jackass or Asshole.

Nowadays not so much, although my favorite name for a Commander Shepard is Cybill. and yes I khow her last name is spelled differently. (Does it bug anyone else that Shepard is in charge of a vessel and doesn't get called Captain? Because even if you are a Lieutenant and you are in command of a ship you get called Captain.)
