Abusing the 'Enter Your Name' Feature

I think the best use of the system is to name your character "man." It makes everyone sound overly relaxed.

"Welcome to the item shop, man!"
"The fate of the world is on your shoulders, man!"
"I will destroy you and all you hold dear, man."

Bwahaha! This is genius. You could also do this in such a way that it makes your game seem like it's set in a very stereotypical version of a different country or region. On my next playthrough, I might go with "ya", "y'all" or "mate".

"ya, you are really good with your Pokemon. It's important to take care of them, ya."
"y'all defeated Gary. Welcome to the item shop, y'all."
"The Professor will be with you in a minute, mate."

I love using immature ones like 'your mum' or 'god.'

I only rarely screw around what entering "my name." One time on Halo 2, I called myself "Kenny you bastard" knowing I'd get killed more than I'd get kills.

I usually don't abuse the name entry systems in games, but back in High School a friend of mine called Crono from Chrono Trigger 'Lavos' during one of his playthroughs. You can imagine the hilarity that ensued. We, that is my friends and I, also thought it'd be hilarious to name every playable character 'Lavos.'
"We must destroy Lavos! Don't you agree Lavos?"
"Oh yes, definatly. How about you Lavos?"

I have a Ditto that I use regularly named "Autobots"...

-Ditto named "Virginity": At the Day Care, "If you want your Virginity back it'll cost you $500!"
-Snivy named "Grasshole"
- Smeargle named "Old Perv" ("Old Perv" used Charm on Jigglypuff! "Old Perv" used Sleep Powder on Jigglypuff! "Old Perv" used Pound on Jigglypuff!)
-XBXLive account named "AGreasyOne": Playing GTA online when you run someone over "ThatLankyBastard got splattered by AGreasyOne"

...I'm a terrible person... I know...

Other than that, my brother has a penchant for naming Link "ASS."

nah, not Link, you have to name Epona "my ass". then you're going to get gems such as

"Link! I just washed my ass for you!"

and later after the riding-tutorial

"augh Link! you pushed my ass to hard again!" >:O
