I trust I'm not the only one absoloutely pissing my pants in anticipation for Assassin's Creed 2, and in my search to harvest some scraps of gameplay I found this 40 minute playthrough on Gametrailers.

It's not done by the dev's, and the guy doesn't seem to be that good at the game, but it gives a good indication of the interaction with the environment.

There aren't any spoilers other than a couple of cutscenes, although they give nothing away unless you've been on a complete boycott of all information until the game is released. It's definitely worth a look to satisfy the hunger during the final days of waiting.

Damn America and their 3 day early release!

Who needs Modern Warfare 2 when you can have dual wrist blades?

Enjoy.

It comes out on the 17th here in America, so this guy either modded or got it early some other way. But thanks for the videos.

EDIT: Nevermind, forgot about promotional copies. Now I feel kind of stupid.

Admittedly, no. But with something like that, wouldn't you surely think that a person would be... yano, overcompensating?

Haha, I suppose that's a fair point. Maybe that'll be one of Da Vinci's upgrades for the hidden blades in the game.

Even one of those Japanese rape-games?

OT: I'm already pissing my pants for AC2.

Looks great. I especially liked that glyph business.

My biggest concern about the game has, however, not been adressed... in this demo, the notoriety meter is all the way up. What does it take to lower it, I wonder? A few select side missions after every story mission, or repetitive grinding, like running around the city and ripping 'Wanted' posters off walls? It's shit like this that killed GTA4 for me, so I hope Ubisoft didn't make the same mistake.

Actually I believe he says (couldn't tell you which part, sorry) that because of where you are in the game (story-wise) the heat's on you. Meaning a bit before the demo he's obviously done something story wise that's raised his profile with the guards.

Taking 'Wanted' posters off walls probably reduces it a little, but I doubt they're gonna force you. After a while it probably reduces progressively like in the first.

The start of games are always a little odd to show because it's normally where story takes over more than gameplay, which like I said is why I think the notoriety is so high at the minute.

Actually if I recall many of the notoriety missions require you to eliminate some random guard that knows you and things like that.
