AC2 Commercials

So does anyone understand those AC2 commercials where it slowly pans away from some dude who looks like he has been frozen in ice and looks surprised about it? I dunno maybe it is something that people on the inside understand but it just leaves me wondering WTF is this?

Maybe the message is to convey how extremely funny the phrase "I WAS FROZEN TODAY" is.

I didn't really think it was difficult to understand. They're dead. They were killed by Ezio. If you didn't get it...well, I don't even know what to say.

Why does everything how to have a message? Can't it just be dead people for once?

Looking at people with extremely blueish faces makes me think they were cryogenically frozen more then killed by a sword. They screwed up the look of the face if thats what they were going for.

Well dead people eventually lose the color in their skin. If you had healthy looking people just staring into the camera, I think any message would just be lost. But, the commericals are very bland and boring and could use more stabbing action. I mean, who cares about the guy post-stabbing?

Agreed. With all the cool ads for all these games it seems odd AC2 would go with something so plain and seemingly irrelevant to the game. The first time I saw one I was asking WTF is this for until I saw the symbol. It really didn't inspire me to want the game.

They are at the beginning of alot of the videos here. Apocolypse Lane and this weeks ZP both had them before the show.

I actually the way these ads are going they're simple and short then boom logo adn there you go.

The ads for AC1 were better, with Massive Attack as the music, seemed to fit so much better

The dead people schtick gets the message across, but I agree, it doesn't advertise the game too well. Also the commercial for the new downloadable map you get with a pre-order kinda sucks as well. They're all shoddy screenshots and the graphics look crappy and unimpresive. Although I'm not entirely worried about it, since the first game looked beautiful so I doubt AC2 could look bad.
