last saturday I played with a british girl. Oh man that has never happened before and It's easy to see why, after doing so for like 1/2 an hour.

One of the myriad of English accents = hassle. being a girl = hassle so English accent + being a girl equaled every retard on the game swarming to her being a jackass.

It isn't MW2 as much as what ever shooter is most popular at the time. It used to be Halo 3. Essentaly, all the people who bought thier system just to play the popular shooter (i.e. every asshole online) tend to also be the loudest voices in the online community.

First off i'm Irish and i have been playing online for god knows how long
but only since i have played modern warfare 2 have i realised how many idiots play games nowadays

I literally join a lobby with my friends and no sooner have i said a word i get decended upon by brits or americans sayin oh look an irishman that can work the internet or other clearly well reserched insults or the british that
repeatedly call us idiots because of pre 1890s and sing ronan keetan to me.

karaokee aside i have never got so stressed playin a recreational activity then i have with mod 2 its as if once you can only hear a voice its alright to be racist or just a tool.

Now i am all for trash talk, christ i'm guilty of slagging someone over xbox myself but i never called a brit or a yank an idiot or bad at life for no reason generally they have to prove it for me to act up which as i said is within the first few seconds of talkin to them
so the message im tryin to say is that if your gonna be a spa over Xbox dont bring racism into it because it really dosen't matter if your black white asian latino or from wherever because there is a million other things to slag people over but the colour of your skin and where you live should just be outta bounds so your ethnic background aside if your bad at the game or just do somethin really stupid you deserve to be slagged but it really shouldnt matter about where your from because your just gonna be bad at the game so slag people about that and give over the online racism because if you think your being funny there is about 10 other people that think your a spa and clearly the attension seeker you are wont be able to handle people muting you all the time!!!

so just enjoy the game and only slag when people are bad, being an idiot or defending someone just dont be a retard and do it unprovoked because you people will die alone and unloved

but on that note if you ever hear an irish junkie playin xbox its the funniest think you will ever hear seriously get the family around its hours of free entertainment and is much cheaper then disney land

Use the mute button or grow some thicker skin. Its the internet, your going to catch shit from somebody somewhere.
For instance I'm about to give you shit for the awful grammar. Use punctuation PLEASE. Its really hard to read a 12 line sentence. The other point I would like to make is stop calling United States citizens "Yanks" and British people "Brits" unless its ok to call you a "Mick".

Enough said. Just glad I've managed to ditch the accent for the most part.

I tend not to talk on XBL (or Steam, for that matter). Recently joined a L4D2 server and had been there a total of 30 seconds before being yelled at by the other players. *Then* I spoke up with 'Hey, just trying to help' and had a comeback of 'Dumb blonde Brit girl, no wonder'.
(Was going to retort with 'brunette, actually' but thought better of it)

I accept it now. There are idiots like that out there, but there are decent players too. If I end up on a server of idiots, I either quit or grin and bear it til the round/mission is over.

This is exactly how I feel about it, you only be offended by something that you identify with and are ashamed of. That goes for any word.

Firstly, racism is bad and to start hating on someone for their accent really just shows how stupid people are. However, I hear all this talk about retards on mw2 and I gotta say it must just be on xbox because I've been playing quite a bit lately on ps3 without running into more than one or two people throwing insults like that. There's been several people who needed muting but that's because they were playing music or singing with their voice pitch turned up to "chipmunk".

"Paddy" is a British slang word for Irish.Americans tend to use "Mick" instead

sad to say im ashamed of my dumbass american people who bash on others for being different...hell i hate it actually, i have NO accent (my location has been rated the best and most proper 'american' english in the world) , so i would kill to have a cool accent like some people i hear on occassions, its sad that most people refer to turning off their mic's because of dumbasses..

if anything, they should be jealous, they dont have such a rich background compared to some of them, shoot im jealous, but not gonna get all NERDDD rage about it
