I was going to make this an inquiry about video game villains that are considered PC vs. Offensive that we've all seen before. Middle Eastern folks in Call of Duty 4 aren't exactly treat with proper sensitivity, even if they are just given the generic "Op For" designation. Nazis and aliens are always ok to commit horrific genocide against though. But y'know what? We've all seen that topic before once or twice, and as much as I like the discussion that usually ensues, I thought of something better.
What about "Real" people that its ok to mock here on the internet? I'm not taking about races or cultures here, that would be terribly stupid. I mean individuals who, for better or worse, you're just allowed to take a piece out of publicly. Our mothers may have taught us to treat people right, but in a few examples, some deserved, some not-so-much, we can get away with jabs at whole bunch of people and groups. Special Thanks to a few recent Escapist articles and especially Shamus Young for adding names to this list and garnering more and more of my respect as the weeks go by.
People you can mock publicly and not get in trouble v.01:
Activision-Blizzard (Can't hear you over all the money)
Scientologists (Hard to defend because they can't take a joke)
Tim Langdell (Deserves it completely)
Evony (Really enjoyed the article pointing out their recent dirty pool)
Lawyers (Always been that way)
Any female celebrity that used sex appeal excessively (Have sold soul and therefore cannot feel human emotions anymore)
Any additions?
EDIT - Sorry, just occurred that some of those might be a bit removed from "Gaming" but its not so hard to connect. Lawyers get hit in all the time in games, but I'll choose Earthworm Jim (Hell level) and Munchkin (Lawyers are level 6 monster that don't attack theives out of professional courtesy)
Female Celebrities are practically a character archetype, and appear in dozens of games. Try any fighting game roster, guarantee it has one.
Scientologists, but more of a stretch, maybe scratch them. The internet may not get along with that particular cult but I don't think gamers really have a beef with them.
