i have been thinking about the new ace combat game that was announced. i never waisted my time on hawks partly because i don't feel any affinity to tom clancy also because i have always found the ace combat series to be a diamond in the rough. i have always loved the settings and situations of the series and like many of you i almost get a stiffy when the words mobius and one come together. from what i know of hawks ace combat seems to be headed in a similar direction with story and game play, which i don't particularly like. also i have always played ace combat from the in cockpit hud view which (in the trailer for assault horizon) seems to be not only non-existent but also impossible with the seemingly continuous changing of camera in dogfights. i guess what i am really asking is can any one help me to find positive understanding of the new game and convince me that our sparkling jewel hasn't simply turned to a plain old rock. as is the feeling i get from the trailer of ace combat:modern warfare...i mean assault horizon?
