A friend of mine was saying something a while back about being able to download a lot of old games from PS2 and Xbox on Xbox Live. Do you know what the story with that is? If it's possible I might have a look and see if I can get The Belkan War to replay it, and take a look for AC5 as well. I'm not sure if it's just bullshit though, because I've never seen any such games while browsing the games marketplace.
Sorry, no idea about that. But my guess would be that you'd need an PS2 emulator on your 360, and I doubt there's a legal one on it, otherwise MS would have told the entire planet about it, given the awesome game library for the PS2. It's probably bullshit, although I guess that some extensive modification of the system could make it work, but even then, you'd have to have an emulator specifically designed to get from the PS2 to the 360... nah, too much work for an awfully tiny market, so it's probably not existing. Although the game is really worth taking some time to look up for a setup able to play it.
I asked him about it again and no, apparently he was talking about the ps3. It's a shame.:\ I'd consider getting an old ps2 again, but I think I only have two or three of my old games left, and I don't think The Belkan War is even one of them. I don't really play games enough any more to justify the purchase.
Heh, just stay on the lookout when you go on eBay, Amazon or any kind of used game shop, you might find a good deal. Or just get the game itself and try to find someone with the console, I'm sure there are people around who could lend or rent you a PS2 for a week. ^^

But honestly, as someone who read hundreds of novels and watched as many movies, I keep saying that AC5 has one of the best narrative structures I've ever seen. Maybe not the best scenario or the best characters (although they're both good, at the very least), but a structure so well done that I've been comparing pretty much everything else to it ever since.
