Google is pissed off at microsoft for charging Android phone makers a license fee on each handset, so now they want money from each xbox. It's just a big stupid waste of time and the consumer is the one that loses.

I don't think they can ban it outright. As I understand it motorola is bound by an agreement to license the patent at a fair and non descriminatory rate.
