No, I dont see your point, because this is an excellent example of how the users of this site need to learn to relax. Often times people want to discuss things that have already been discussed. However, people dont want to put their comment at the bottom of a year old, 100 post+ long thread that nobody will go to. Its the equivalent of screaming at the bottom of a cave. Also, more often then not, the post is SIMILAR but not IDENTICAL. They are discussing something close to the same thing, but looking at it from a different angle or asking a slightly different question. Also, there is the fact that forum communities grow and change. By opening the discussion again, there will be new people that were not there the last time to add new opinions or questions, making it a unique and new exchange. If you don't want to see reposts, dont post in them, and they will go away. The fact that the thread gets posts keeps it on the list, and only proves my point that people want a fresh discussion, even if its a topic that has already been covered.
