Actors doing Game Characters.

So I just watched a 'making of' with Killzone 3's cinematic team, in which Malcolm McDowell plays a character for the game.

Now this is awesome for a few reasons.
1. The acting in the second part was underwhelming and they seem to have some good production value going.
2. The guy's a great actor with personality.
3. He has a perfect crazy face/ voice for a video game bad guy.

So this gets me to my next question:
If your favourite video game characters were to be adapted to film, who'd you wanna see them play?

Kind of like this:
Gordon Freeman- Ewan McGregor
Snake - 1980s Kurt Russell
...or Enzio - Joaquin Phoenix because bla bla bla (do go into detail of why they'd be a good fit, other wise it'll get boring)

A good comparison pic can always be nice.

huh. i've never heard of ewan being nominated for GF, although he does look somewhat similar enough, and with the make up/costume artists these days..that would not be a problem. good pick.


OT:

well nolan north or nathan fillion SHOULD have been nathan drake for the uncharted movie. but ehh i can deal with it.

but for other games

i would pick gerard butler or john travolta as marcus in gears
