I don't really have any specific ideas, I stopped drinking pop by just drinking water whenever I got thirsty. I only drink pop maybe once a week instead of 1 or 2 daily now. whenever you get tired, just get up and walk around, works for me.

Caffeine withdrawal is usually very quick. You'll probably have a couple of days of intense headaches and just feeling crap and then feel fine. If you just get your willpower on and stick with it, you should be fine pretty quickly.

I find it helps to switch to caffeine free soda. If you have something similar to drink and can help to control cravings a bit.

I recently started drinking diet soda again after giving it up a year ago because it's useful for controlling sugar cravings caused by my medication. Seriously though, just go for it and push through.

All I can say is I wish you luck. I've tried myself countless times but after my body goes thru hell of withdrawals I end up caving back in. :(

This isn't heroine, people. Just stop drinking them. Caffeine withdrawal is nothing more then mild discomfort and a little bit of hand twitching.

Just man up and put down the Monster.

Lord help you two if either of you ever pick of a cigarette.

Well, there are two very common methods of kicking an addiction. The first being cold turkey which means just stop, completely. Your going to hate it and want to have some and probably be a real asshole to everyone for at least a few days prolly closer to a week or more. However that is technically the quickest and easiest because it requires very little thought, money and all you have to do is not drink the caffeine. The second option is to ween yourself off. If your having 3 energy drinks a day start drinking 2 a day, then after a few days have like 1 energy drink and one caffeine soda, then after a few days 2 sodas, then maybe a soda and a cup of tea ( or something similar with less caffeine) then maybe just a couple cups of tea after a few more days, then switch to something like caffeine free soda, get the taste but not the caffeine, then finally just stop. It'll take longer and cost more, and you'll have to control how much you have, but it won't be a violent of a drop in caffeine.

What I did when I reduced my Cola drinking to Zero for a while was At first I lowered my consumption a little. Then I stopped all together, and drank only water for a long time. (Tap water in Norway is really good anyways).

I had tried to kick the habit before by buying other drinks, but that never kicked the psychological part of it: "I was still buying bottles at the super market". So after a while I would stop buying any bottles at the supermarket, and turning that into an "unnatural" part of my shopping.

PS: When I say I drank water, I drank a LOT of water, due to needing something to occupy my hands and lips.

Energy drink addiction is usually partially sugar addiction. Try replacing the energy drinks with fruit, fruit juice, or fruit smoothies. The fructose should give you most (or all) of the actual energy you would've gotten from the energy drink (depending how much you eat/drink), but fruit has a lower G.I. so your blood sugar level won't be so much like a rollercoaster. If you're under pressure and need a bit of caffeine to cope, have some tea or weak coffee and gradually wean yourself off needing the copious amounts of caffeine in energy drinks.

I'd start by reducing the caffeine. Water your drink down, have them less often. You might have to put up with being a bit tired but it's the headaches that are annoying, so slow withdrawal is fine. By the end of the month you should be caffeine free with little problem.
