Roblox.com Despite most of the games being childish, as well as the community being typically horrible, there are actually quite a few well designed, well built games on it.

Borderlands. There was nothing all that spectacular about the game, but I got addicted to building the coolest character I could.
I can't stand to play that game now.

Starting a game of Rome: Total War is pretty much a death sentance for whatever I'm meant to be doing for several weeks.

Also, The Last Remnant draws me in for hours whenever I continue playing that. Always keep saying "Just one more battle" or "Just finish this area" and then it's morning.

The later levels of that game piss me off so much. Those damn shield lizards keep destroying my minions and block my SUPER BEAM OF OMEGA DEATH! because apparently a wooden sheild is much better than a flaming death beam.

OT: Currently: Persona 4. My Next Addiction (Yes, I can choose my addiction): Probably Morrowind again. I probably won't be on here for about a year after that -_-

I'm having a lot of fun with Defense Grid. Pretty balanced Tower Defense game and there is new content coming out fairly regularly. Its on sale on Steam right now too (50% off)!

The Harvest Moon games. I know a lot of people that have no idea why they play the HM games, but they do know that they are unable to stop.
I completely understand you.

First time I found out about harvest moon was while reading Nintendo Power and passed over Harvest Moon 64. Not a single store sold it due to them not wanting to translate the manual in French and since i'm in Quebec it meant they couldn't sell the game.

Anyways 1 video store had it and I just fell in love with the series. It's a really strange game, I can't believe they're so fun, It's mind boggling.

Save the Homeland on the PS2 is absolute garbage though, it's the only game i've ever returned to a store in my life.

Saints Row 2, Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, any game from Bioware, GTA4 and Angry Birds. I don't get addicted to games easily but many of the games that I like are full of different stuff to do. Makes me want to do just one mission before I quit.

There are a lot of games that are addicting and they come and go for me. A while ago it was Minecraft and I was playing it in 10-14 hour shifts (I had no uni work to do so I was binging). Anyway, now I've got the Pokemon bug again. I put around 160 hours into White in about 3 weeks and I just watched a very hefty bulk of the Pokemon4Japan marathon whilst procrastinating in an attempt to put off an essay. Also, I just bossed Pokemon Ruby in two sittings of around 10 hours each with nothing but a Blaziken (and HM monkeys of course). I'm still playing Pokemon White regularly to get together a few competitive teams and I'm thinking about attempting to solo Gold with only one of the starters next so yeah... Pokemon... VERY addicting....
