Since I don't watch much tv, Internet ads are the ones I'm exposed to the most.

Lots of the tech sites I read (hardware nerd, what can I say?) have hypertext links on keywords littered throughout their articles. The things then have a little rollover window with ads in them. It turns reading into a game of minesweeper. (which I am usually not averse to, just not when I'm reading!)

Any ad with sound that plays automatically chases me off the page. Can't stand the things.

It's "ad", short for advertisement.

It is NOT "add", short for addition.

Anyway, computer ads that make noise always aggravate me to no end. And ones that move (be it floating across the screen, growing larger, or that stupid 'kick the puppy and win an X-Box!' thing) are just an eye sore at best and flat out annoying at worst.

Television ads usually fall into one of three categories: amusing, ignorable, or hated.

An amusing ad is, for example, the Ikea adds. Especially the one where the woman thinks there was a mistake on her receipt and does this waddle/run to the car shouting "Start the car! Start the caaaar!" because the prices were so low. I love that one.

A hated ad has to be anything like Head On. Seriously. Any of their commercials, and anyone who uses the same tactic of repetition to force memorization, are right up there with "bad things I don't like".

Ignorable ads are just about anything else that isn't amusing or hated.
