Meh, I don't mind them, but I fucking HATE TV advertisements. I can tolerate them in between shows; BUT NOT DURING A FUCKING FILM OR GOOD TV SHOW I'M REALLY GETTING INTO. It pisses off so much. That's why I mostly watch Sky movies.

I love those popups that have a "take me to this site" or a "close this thing" option, which, when rolled over, are revealed to be pictures, not buttons, and both will take you to the sight
I don't get any popups.
But on my last computer...ugh. I couldn't go anywhere without 4 popups for about every new page.

AnimeShipuuden is one of those sites. Not only does it have pop-ups galore, it also has nonstop audio ads and those god awfully dumb "your computer has a virus, scanning your hard drive" pop-ups that comes up with 300 different trojans and worms yet looks nothing like a Vista Control Panel.

And who gets that angry over pop-ups? Just block them or take them away, it's not like they are ridiculing you with racist slurs.
OT: Get a pop up blocker, and also try getting a plug in called 'flashblock' for firefox - means that you have to click on any flash frame you want to work, but it cuts out 90% of the annoyance with browsing for me...
