i currently have a cyberpower power laptop, that is a laptop with as much of the power of a desktop as could be cramed into it given the size of it. i went this route not so much for portabilty as because of space. i simply don't have the room for a full dessktop the laptop as it is is perched on top of a small chest of drawers with a chair pulled up to it.
but today while trying to convice my cat to move off a chair so i could reach the key board i had a sudden idea i have a wireless mouse so why not go the whole hog.

if i had a wireless mouse and keyboard as well as a wireless screen i could by a small desktop maybe something like this http://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/system/Infinity_Game_Cube/ and stick it on a shelf somewhere in my room and have all of the wireless peripherials where i have the laptop. my only problem is that when i searched for info about wireless screens i didn't get a very clear answer just a jumble of slightly unreliable looking solutions and products.

so what i want to know is has anyone ever purchased or set up a wireless screen is it even realy possible, how realiable, expensive etc is it or just if you got any thoughts on this idea in general i was just looking for some help

thanks

My dad has one (reading between the lines: no first-hand experience) and it works great for him. I've hardly grilled him on the matter, but he'd be the first to complain.

No answer RE: make, exact response, lag, etc.

I think you might be out of luck with a true wireless computer monitor. Maybe you could get a standard wired one and some extra long cables to reach around your room.

I don't trust wireless devices much. In my experience they break easier than those with wires and fixing them is a pain. That said, I've never tested a wireless monitor before.

What I would recommend is to look into a projection screen. A friend and I tested a very high tech one off of my apartment building, projected onto the next one and played a horror game on it. It looked awesome. Great details, nice contrast.

Not saying you should buy the most expensive one out there, but where I live they don't cost that much and you can project it on pretty much any straight surface.
