some might have read my issue i have with my pc and it looks like its a GPU problem (its a HD 7870 from sephire). so as the title states; what radeon GPU is good?
i will do no over clocking, only use one monitor. i was looking at the R9 290. i did some research between the R9 290 and the R9 290X. so the X version i have seen is a bit better but not really necessary to have still a good performance.

i dont care about the price. i just want a solid card to play games on. radeon was never expensive in my view.

at that stage i like to ask if using HDMI cable is still capable to play games and watch normal videos on youtube, normal operation on the pc, etc. so far i have always used VGA.

Ordinarily sapphire isn't a bad brand for cards but if your experience so far hasn't been that great considering the hd7xxx series cards aren't that old, you may want to also consider a different manufacturer for your R9 290X. I have the R9280X from Asus and I should warn you that the Asus models have some heat sink piping that extends a bit farther to the sides than the sapphire card profile. If you have a wide enough case than it isn't an issue and I have had nothing but great experiences with Asus. If your sapphire card however was a close fit in your case I would actually recommend going with the XFX brand of the R9 290X. Much like with Asus I have never had an issue with any XFX cards I have and they run good. I believe they also offer a manufacture's lifetime warranty if you register your card with them online, and a 2 year warranty if you don't.

actually i didnt have any hassle either with sapphire. my motherboard is from asus and i sure hope that is not the cause again. within 1 year i had to change it 2 times.
1. when i took my cpu fan out to clean it better and after building it back in again (and thats something i have done many times in over 10 years), my pc didnt start. shop told me the MB fuse blew. new one in, which was from asus as well.
2. after building in a better cpu fan, because the standard didnt cool well and caused performance problems due excessive heat, the MB had again problems to start up my pc. so again a new one which i am currently using.

as you saw in my actual problem, the screen was just teared and colourful and didnt start up win anymore.
i still havent heard from the shop yet to see what the real issue is. but as you read for your self, those who answered me, think its a gpu problem.

but thanks for the little info regarding the cooling. i will tell the shop once i hear from them.
