I know that there are better sites to ask for this kind of help. However, whenever I search for other websites for help, I am always redirected by adware. Maybe it is because I come here often, but this is one of the only sites that does not get redirected.

I ran AVG 8 and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, neither picking up anything. I just ran SUPERAntiSpyware which detected thirteen files with Adware.Zango/ShoppingReport. How Zango got on my computer, I don't know. I did not even download it, and the real Zango program is not on add/remove programs. SASW gave the same report last night. I deleted them, but they came back apparently. I hearded about a program called HijackThis that can fix these things, but I also heard its not for rookies due to serious damage. I use XP and IE 8 by the way.

If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

I've never even heard of "SUPERantispyware" are you sure it's a legit programs?
I've used programs before that simply infect your pc whilst using them, this could be one of them.
Also CC cleaner is very useful, get that.

My advice is to get rid of it.

Right now, I'm running

- Nod32 Trial version.
- Malware bytes.
- CC cleaner.

I looked at the website for SASW, I didn't like the look of it. Personally I'd stick to adaware SE, and look at updating your AVG for another form of antivirus software.
I found AVG to become somewhat useless after so long, it never found threats.

I have Webroot AntiVirus with AntSpyware and CC Cleaner

If all else fails get BootNuke

Wipe your computer. Don't forget to back up into a lipstick drive.

It's through some kind of offer, I didn't do it myself. I just got the anniversary edition.

HijackThis was one of the tools I used to use at work. Basically what it does is it'll list a bunch of registry entries that are connected to Explorer, and you can then delete those that are related to malware or adware. It actually has a feature that will let you post the list of entries to their website. The site will then tell you which entries are legitimate and which are bad, based upon the reports from the users of HJT. So it's really quite foolproof, so long as you don't go deleting things that you're not sure about.

Another tool that I found helpful was ComboFix, which combines a bunch of scanners to detect malware.

I would suggest you do all your scans from Safe Mode, or better yet from an external environment (can be another computer or something like BartPE.) I have a couple of tricks for deleting things manually, but they're not for the faint of heart.

If you can't figure it out, you're better off just backing up your data and reformatting.

I don't know which one did it, but now that everything is done, it appears to be gone. Thanks for the assistance.
