You know whats strange? I have a fat PS3, and I never had a problem... all of a sudden I just found a lack of people to play with... though my friends got it, even the one with a slim...

most odd, i never had a problem..so..meh

Even after this I still stand by my Fat PS3. I mean cool chrome and shinyness, PS2 compatibility, Memory card slots, 4 USB ports. Luckily I didn't loose any trophies (well I haven't fully checked yet)

Quit showing off! Not all of us were lucky enough to get the good PS3s. I got the generation after the backward comp. was taken out. The "new" ones just look terrible. I want that chrome shine-eyness!

I thought I lost my Heavy Rain trophies. Then I re-synced my account. It took a while (it was stuck on 10% for a while) but eventually it worked. Now the Heavy Rain trophies are at the bottom of the list, but they should come back to the top when I play it again.

The thing that worried me was that before the bug, I had never synced any of the Heavy Rain trophies. I guess the sync took so long because it was searching for my trophies that I never synced before.

Anyways, all is good in the world now.

haha i just rented avp, there was hardly anyone playing, is that just the game or is it this whole problem thing? and i have a 250 gig slim ps3 and it worked perfectly

Are you sure the trophies are permanently gone? I had an entire game's worth of trophies disappear, but they came back the next day.

OT: If you really, desperately need those trophies, you're going to need to start over again. Sorry.

Well i have a slim so i didn't have that bug, but i don't care for trophies either so if i was affected i can't say i'd care

I encountered similar issues a few days ago when this latest planned obsolescence scheme was initiated and instead of doing what they wanted and buy a Slim, I sold my PS3, extra controller, games, peripherals and got a 360, 120GB HD, extra controller, games, and still had enough cash to go see Wolfman with all my friends and put yet another $50 away in the bank.

I had the samish problem, joined into a full group of people then they all disconnected about 3 seconds before the game was due to start, and I HATE when people do that, it just kept happening, got a good trade in value for it though!

And I was playing on easy, because it was 3 in the morning, Rico kept dying and if I didn't turn down the difficulty I would've been up all night.
