Wow, how did I not know this mod existed? AOE2 is probably still one of the games I spent the most hours playing (though not so much recently). Well now I know what I'm gonna spend the rest of the summer doing!

I haven't played this game since like, 2004. The disks still sitting with all my old computer games. Maybe a reinstall and this mod would be a good idea.

awesome loved the mod but with online multiplayer the huns are suddenly so op as you dont need to build any houses so you can just flood the map

The existence of Forgotten Empires was the reason I didn't choose to purchase the HD version when it came out. Simply, FE was superior in every way to what was on offer. It's really great to see that the official developers have recognised that these guys did an absolutely incredible job, a real labour of love, and want to integrate it into Steam. Means I may have to get that HD version after all.

As an aside, I would be disappointed if this has to be purchased. The original developers have released this for free for many years because they were passionate about the game and improving players' experience. If this were to be cashed in, then it would sour the entire effort.

thats good i guess. just i never touch the MP since i suck at these type of game. if it has more Sp stuff, then i might consider it.
