I would have been very surprised if you had ended the article without commenting on how weak this episode's stinger was.

"It's a map!" exclaims Skye.
"No shit." exclaims anyone who's ever watched any amount of science fiction.

I like the idea of Skye being the daughter of Hyde. It fits with the skills displayed: rage induced super strength, knowledge of alien technology, being called "the doctor" when normal... It also works as sort of a validation that the inhumans exist in the MCU, before even a movie about them is announced.

I don't think she is Quake, though. I know the character is one of the agents of SHIELD, so it kinds of fits, but she has displayed no power for creating earthquakes (or any other power, for what is worth).

Not onscreen, but they've heavily implied that she was responsible for wiping out an entire village as a baby which is why she was designated as a high-priority target in the first place. Why those powers have suddenly gone dormant will have to be explained - maybe her dad found a way to genetically control them before she was taken?

I am rather confused. I thought the implication was that whatever was looking for her wiped out the village, not that it was a manifestation of her powers.

So far, they have not shown her powers, so any guess is fair deal, but I tend to gravitate toward less visual powers, probably something like mind manipulation, which would make sense in a TV budget. I thought it would make sense that the whole criticism in the first season of her being a Mary Sue (even called "Mary Sue Skye") got rebutted because her powers make her a functional Mary Sue.

I double-checked and I think I may have remembered wrong, sorry. In any case she's obviously valuable for some reason. Come to think of it, this could all end up being a massive fan-generated mistake and neither Skye or her dad are any "established" characters at all. It'll suck royally but I think it's possible. Hell, the main cast is comprised of original creations led by a guy who was supposedly never meant to continue in this series past Iron Man.

Personally I had pegged it as a diagram/circuitry for a MacGuffin of some description. Still fairly weak overall, though.

Adding my voice to the 'expected Bobbi/Mockingjay to be tricking Simmons onto roof' though. Overall, that episode was great, really cleared up/advanced lots of the plots.
