In particular Assassin's Creed 3. Having a long look at the commercials today I realize I've seen the same one on several different platforms. Personally I don't mind a well built commercial. But getting bombarded like this is actually turning me off from Assassin's creed 3. Was just wondering if anyone else was feeling the same way?

I've seen maybe two ads on British TV.

If they're going to pay for TV advertisements, it wouldn't really make sense to hide them, they are a AAA developer after all; such is the trap of advertising, that inevitably it's going to bombard some people by pure coincidence.

I've seen about two ads for the game. I've always been perplexed by the ad campaigns of video game publishers, as I generally see very few ads on TV, but very many ads on websites. These ads can be easily blocked and nobody pays any attention anyway, whereas with TV you are being forced to watch. Many movies with a far lesser budget have a dozen times more commercials. I really don't understand why companies like EA don't advertise on television more.

I dunno. Maybe I'm just glad where we live in an age where a videogame I like is actually advertised on TV along with media "adults" would class as "real things" and look darn good - but I don't mind the ad bombardments. Relates more to me than LOreal or whatever.

For future reference, Assassin's creed 3 is ubisoft not EA. *cough cough* thank god. If it was I'd be complaining a lot more. >.>

I saw my first ad for it with Feed Dump yesterday. And thought the game looked kind of neat.

On the other hand, I saw the Dishonoured ad so many times that I grew to hate that game based on the ad alone. Or, really, the song they used with the ad. It grated on my ears in a completely unacceptable way. So it is possible that AC3 got points with my subconscious simply for not being Dishonoured.

If something is way too aggressive in its marketing I won't buy/see it. Example, the Oliver Stone movie Savages. It looked like an interesting flick at first, but its trailer being played everywhere, "Just cause I'm telling you story, doesn't mean I'm alive at the end...." made me sick and tired of it, and I never saw it

No joke, i just saw the Black Ops 2 tv ad 7 times in the past hour

Jeez Activision, the game is going to sell millions regardless. You don't have to advertise this much.

I have seen entire buildings in Times Square plastered with the awful "noob vs vet" posters. Some TV ads is nothing by comparison.
