AHHHH my PS3

[chaos order]

i was just installing an update to my PS3 and when it was completed the whole screen went blank. i w8ted for like 10 min and nothing. so i tried holding the power button and turning back on, it wouldn't turn off. so i flicked the switch at the back and turned it back on still blank screen. does anyone know whats wrong.

if relavent, i have one of the old 60gb PS3s

Did you jailbreak it? I heard that the new update seriously F***s over any PS3's that have been jailbroken. Happened to a friend of mine, he tried to "warn" me about it, luckily I never jailbroke mine, warranty is a good thing.

I've heard about this from about 4 different people. Each and every one of them modded their PS3s.

As the two posters above said. Usually a system doesn't do that unless you did something to it. and got caught.
Did you take it for repairs or something? Maybe while they're fixing something they touched something else that made it think it was modded.

or maybe a plug came loose
