Aion...thoughts?

Well, this is my second thread so constructive criticism is very appreciated.
Aion, a game by NCsoft or PlayNC whichever you prefer is a game I have been waiting a few years for. I first saw it in a little magazine thing boxed with Guild Wars. Guild Wars was a good game even though it was extremely linear and had almost no physics whatsoever. Aion hopefully will fix that by adding flying, air combat and (this hopefully the most contributarey)P2P. It has more customization, two factions (which we all know what were playing as right, right?) "Elyos"...the "hot" people the one race that fat people can play so that they can oggle over ass and cleavage. I for one will play as the "Asmodians" glowing red eyes, black wings, claws what more do you need? Anyway i hope it is indeed a good game i have to wait until September 22nd in which time ill be back in school so my 15 dollars for the first month will be wasted on the few hours i get to play it after i do my homework, will be as said before hopefully fun. But then of course i'm going to pre-order it off Steam so i get a month free...sigh

Well, the art style blows my MIND. The wings blows my MIND. The fact that the combat is pretty much the same....well...At least theres a race where when they enter combat, their eyes glow red. That makes me happy.

To be honest, all i can say is. It looks goodm but again all new mmos looks good. Hoever the gameplay looks somewhat interesting. Even if it is a MMORPG.
But it looks to much like World of Warcraft and i'd rather play the original even if this one does things better.

The game looks pretty. Combat looks pretty. Flying looks pretty. I'm not buying it but I certainly like looking at it.

Seriously though it looks like a good game. It'll definitely pick up a strong following. Not WoW like, 10 mil plus numbers but large numbers all the same.

It has graphics, I'll give it that. Still up in the air in gameplay, but I may just wait* anyway, to hear more about how the endgame pans out on our servers.

*I'd buy it at release, but September releases cost too much already...

Im pretty much done with MMO's. I have too much going on to spend hours on my pc on whats practically a second job.

I'm definitely going to get it, unfortunately my computer is crap so it will lag lick crazy but if i'm lucky ill be getting a new one soon.

I'm definately interested but I'm going to have to look into it a lot more before I consider the purchase.

In the gameplay footage I have seen, some spellcaster type seemed to shout something out (voice acted) every time she cast a spell. THAT could get annoying.

It looks amazing, but like every other MMO that came out, yes, it will be better than WoW, but it won't be so ground-breakingly different or varied to make most people "quit" WoW.

Honestly, I think it could be great, but even with the old CryEngine, it could look better. Granted for a MMO it's gorgeous. And the combat system seems similar but if you move various directions it affects your stats, and spell-combos and shit seem cool in theory but it will probably just be a rotation later on in endgame. Oh well.

But yeah, no, I hope it does well and finds its niche, but how many times can you sell the same product to someone? It's hard to appeal to MMO players when they already have time invested in a different game and such...
