So just today I was skimming through a Norwegian news site when I noticed an article talking about the PS3 version of TESV: Skyrim not getting any "refill".
Obviously they were talking about the game's lack of any PS3 DLC so far, but the choice of words in this article just struck me as weird. Kind of awkward. Granted, if you ask me, Norwegian news about games has this kind of inescapably awkward tone no matter the subject, but since when did getting DLC for a game become comparable to getting your coffee cup filled up again? Heading online to get your game refilled with content?
Has I'm wondering if anyone else have seen anything similar anywhere in other languages, where attempts to put a local twist on a translated (game-related, or maybe otherwise) term just flattens the original meaning of it?
