Alan Wake Hype Thread

It has been compromised somewhat for the Xbox and might still be very good, but the original
PC idea was what I was first excited about. Microsoft killed that. I doubt if you see any
tornadoes in this game.

Until a few minutes ago, I wasn't sold on Alan Wake. It had passed me by so far. Then I watched the "Building a Thriller" trailer and now i'm engulfed in hype. I preordered the special edition and now I have 43 days of rocking backwards and forwards on my chair before the game arrives in all it's beauty.

What do you guys make of it?

I was intrigued early on, but all of the talk about Episodes and making it less open has kind of killed it for me. At this point, it would have to do something very impressive to get me to buy it.
