So, will it be like $5? Cause I've already beaten the game on my 360.
I'm just tired of developers putting games on the PC for full price 1+ years after release and then scratching their heads saying "Why isn't it selling? IT MUST BE THOSE PIRATES!".

They need to stop treating the console and PC market like two entirely separate divisions.

Is it any good? I haven't really read much about it after I saw it wasn't for PC.

For what exactly, please explain.

Alan Wake was used as a Tech Demo by Intel in '08 and was supposed to be released on PC. They then decided to complete the game as an Xbox 360 exclusive.

They can go to Hell.

Lol , just a bit too late . I don't think anyones cares anymore . Don't get me wrong , it's a great game , i have it on xbox360 but it's been so long that i don't think anyone cares anymore. That being said , if it's cheap it's definately worth it.

Yum yum. I'd buy it... except I've already written February off to Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. Will be a good one to look out for next time Steam have a sale.

Too late. I'm not interested any more. I was mildly interested when it was first showcased on PC, but that was a long time ago. And it was supposed to be an open world game. But no, Xbox 360 couldn't handle that. So they decided to make a dumbed down linear version exclusively for the console. If they make it free roaming like it was supposed to be when it was being developed for PC I would get it. But I think we all know that won't happen. I'm not interested in another dumbed down linear "horror" game.

It's not their fault though. Microsoft threatend to pull o lot of the funding unless they made it for 360 only.
How is that not their fault? I don't have any proof in front of my right now, but I am pretty damn sure there have been successful games made in the past few years without exclusive deals made with Microsoft.

Ooh, I´ve heard lots of great stuff about this one, I´m quite glad it´s coming to the PC.
A bit late, sure, but better late then ever!
So, yeah. Good news indeed.

I'll be disgusted if they try to get away with flogging it for full price. Someone suggested $20 as a price tag for it and all the DLC on gametrailers and i suppose that's a fair amount. But if they try to get away with a full retail release they can go boil heir heads.

I'm just not sure why they think this will sell all that well when people won't really care anymore about a port that's two years too late.

I'll probably buy it, it sounded interesting. Of course I'll have to wait another few months after release for everyone to lose interest and the price to plummet from what will surly be 50$.

It's a fairly good game, but it's deeply flawed. I'll just give a spoiler-free list of reasons:
- The story is interesting, but a little clichéd and even a bit stupid at times (though still above average).
- The environment is excellent at first, but gets really repetitive later on.
- The environment's effectiveness is also hampered by the combat-system. It mostly has to do about what the camera does at the beginning of combat sections.
- The combat is fairly intense if played on higher difficulties, but you will be doing the exact same thing during the entire game.
- It's less of a fear inducing game (such as Silent Hill 2 or Amnesia) and more of a stress-inducing game (such as Dead Space).

If you ask me, I'd say it's worth playing. This was actually the first time I completely agreed with Yahtzee.
